PLYMOUTH – Advanced Purchasing Dynamics, the Purchasing Authority for manufacturers, Tuesday announced that it has expanded its footprint in the West region by opening an office in Los Angeles.
The West region office will serve the manufacturing purchasing needs of customers in solar energy, aerospace, defense equipment manufacturing and more. Philip (Phil) Ideson is the head of the LA office.
In his role, Ideson is responsible for leading the growth and delivery of APD’s solutions to clients in the Western United States. A successful procurement leader, he has 15 years of experience across the entire purchasing value chain, working with companies as Visteon, GM, Pfizer and Ally Financial.
“We have been servicing several manufacturing customers from the West region for the past few years. Now the time is ripe to open an office to better serve the existing customers and attract new ones,” said Jeoff Burris, principal, APD. “We are excited to have Phil lead the charge from our Los Angeles location. His vision and strategy will help manufacturers experience higher purchasing performance.”
“I am excited to execute the goals of APD in the West region,” said Phil Ideson, head of APD West region. “I am eager to expand APD’s foot print in the region by building relationships and fostering collaboration.”
APD has been experiencing steady growth over the years and is planning to expand its Metro Detroit offices in fall of 2015.
