KALAMAZOO ? The 2013 MichBio Expo & Conference is set for Oct. 15-16 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Kalamazoo.
The 2013 MichBio Expo will present the annual Emerging Biosciences Showcase and will feature pitches from 9 early stage, innovative bioscience start-ups across multiple industry sectors.
MichBio is now accepting applications for the Emerging Biosciences Showcase. To qualify, the company must meet the following criteria:
Michigan based company with a product/innovation in medical devices, diagnostics, biopharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare, agri-health, industrial biotech and bio-based technologies, healthcare IT and research products sectors.
Non-Michigan companies in the same sectors encouraged to apply, space permitting.
Company must have completed one round of seed financing, preferably prior to the Showcase or is currently seeking funding.
Introduce your emerging bioscience company to an audience of investors, technology experts, entrepreneurs and bio-industry representatives. The “emerging” companies that qualify – those formed out of technology transfer offices and taking their first steps along the commercialization pathway – will make their first pitches in front of a panel of three judges. Presenting companies will then have the opportunity for further exposure and one-on-one conversations at tabletop displays in the Exhibit Hall.
To get an application, send an email to [email protected] by September 6. Tell him MITechNews.Com sent you. All companies will be notified of the results of the application screen by September 13th. If you have questions, telephone Dave McGuire at (734) 527-9150.
