GRAND RAPIDS ? The 2013 Teen Entrepreneur Summer Academy will be giving away $1000 in cash prizes on June 21 to some of the 39 high school students who spend a week developing a new business concept addressing problems that face downtown Grand Rapids.
Ten student teams will pitch their solution in front of community stakeholders. The competition begins at 2 pm in the Multipurpose Room of the new L. William Seidman Building. Light refreshments will be provided.
Participating students represent 24 Michigan High Schools and one Maryland High School: Academy Of Design & Construction, Caledonia High School, Central High School, City High Middle, Coldwater High School, Crestwood Middle School, East Grand Rapids High School, Forest Hills Eastern High School, Forest Hills Northern High School, Grand Rapids Christian High School, Grand River Prep High School, Grandville High School, Kelloggsville High School, Kenowa Hills High School, Lee High School, Old Mill North High School, Ottawa Hills High School, Our Lady of Consolation, Rockford High School, Tecumseh High School, Thurston High School, Union High School, Wells Spring Prep, West Bloomfield High School, and West Catholic High School.
