ANN ARBOR ? Fuel cell system developer Adaptive Materials has added three to its executive team: Jeffrey Basch as vice president of business development, Annamaria Hornyak as director of human resources, and William Siddall as manager of military programs.

“The additions to Adaptive Materials’ executive management team are key to our growth strategy,” said chief business officer Michelle Crumm. “Key goals include aggressive growth of our team as well expanded reach in commercial markets and, of course, Adaptive Materials continues to work extensively in the military space. Jeff, Anna and Bill bring expertise to Adaptive Materials that will support its long-term success.”

As Adaptive Materials’ vice president of business development, Basch will develop, negotiate, and implement partnerships with companies seeking fuel flexible portable power source solutions. Prior to joining Adaptive Materials, Basch spent 17 years with General Electric in various management, sales and marketing leadership roles, most recently as market director of automotive business development in Southfield. A certified commercial Six Sigma Master Black Belt, he earned a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a master of business administration degree from the University of Michigan.

Hornyak, CCP, will lead Adaptive Materials’ human resources initiatives including recruiting, talent and leadership development, total compensation, and team initiatives. Hornyak brings 20 years human resources experience to Adaptive Materials, most recently serving as senior manager of global compesation for Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc., in Northville. Hornyak earned a bachelor of business administration degree in human resources management from the The University of Toledo.

In his role as manager of military programs for Adaptive Materials, Siddall will support the company’s military programs, including product introductions as well as product and process changes. An accomplished product development manager with more than 14 years experience in management, product design and development, Siddall most recently served as product development manager – forward models for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn. A Six Sigma Green Belt, Siddall earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and a master of business administration degree from the University of Michigan. He also served in the United States Navy as a supply officer and naval aviator.
