ANN ARBOR – The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum is hosting its second Local Tech Event on May 22 to connect entrepreneurs, innovations and their families for an evening of fun.

“The Local Tech Event extends the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum’s mission to connect families with science and learning,” said Mel Drumm, executive director. “By connecting local innovators with families, the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum’s Tech Event inspires creativity and imagination. The Local Tech Event is geek fun for the whole family and the whole community.”

The Local Tech Event features dozens of innovative companies from throughout the local region who will display fuel cells, video games and other interactive technologies. Entrepreneurs will be on hand to talk with families about what it takes to turn an innovative idea into a thriving business.

Family fun offered at the Local Tech Event includes live music from HiDef and The Chief Blues Officers and a museum-wide scavenger hunt. Refreshments will be served, including a special kids-only dining area. Additional kids-only activities will be offered through supervised hands-on workshops.

Tickets for the Local Tech Event at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum are $25 for adults and $10 for children. Family ticket packages for two adults and two children are $50. Sponsorships opportunities for the Local Event are also still available.
