ANN ARBOR ? Ann Arbor SPARK is hosting another entrepreneur Boot Camp in March where participants will spend two full days learning how to identify critical issues for their business plans.

Participants also will get an intensive and instructive way to gain critical feedback and advice about your business model, management team, competitive positioning, market strategy and other key elements that determine if a start-up will succeed or fail.

Based on advice received during camp, former Boot Campers have gone on to win business plan competitions, secured funding, improved their business model, and got connected to advisors and other key talent.

Additional Post-Camp After Care Enhancements:

Ann Arbor SPARK Entrepreneur Boot Camp includes an “after care” program that helps further the chances of entrepreneurial success for participating start-ups. At the conclusion of Boot Camp, eligible graduating companies are eligible to receive up to $5,000 in business consulting through Ann Arbor SPARK as well as other critical start-up support:

Access to SPARK Expert Resource Board – a monthly business assistance roundtable

Free participation in many of SPARK’s entrepreneur education events

Mentoring and business-critical introductions

Drop-in space usage at SPARK East including conference rooms, copier and WiFi

The next scheduled Entrepreneur Boot Camp will be held March 22 & 23 at Kensington Court in Ann Arbor. Boot camp kickoff is March 7. A post Boot Camp celebration is planned for April 12 at SPARK Central.

These camps are very successful at helping entrepreneurs refine, define, and launch their businesses.

At the Boot Camp, participants will learn how to refine their business model, design an effective investor presentation, and work one-on-one with experienced business executives who will mentor you. They also will be guided by a “drill instructor’ ? a seasoned entrepreneur who will select and match mentors to assist participants with pressing start-up needs.

Boot Camp outcomes include:

Concise positioning statement (Elevator pitch)

Executive summary draft

Initial investor presentation

Road map to the next company milestone

Finally, each participant will have an opportunity to present to a panel of venture investors, with the enthusiastic support of the Ann Arbor entrepreneurial community.

Boot Camp enrollment is limited. Each start-up needs a two-person team for camp.
