ANN ARBOR ? Washtenaw County economic development group Ann Arbor SPARK, and Sensei Change have partnered to offer Shifting Gears, a five-month intensive program that provides professional career coaching for executive talent seeking opportunities in entrepreneurial and emerging businesses.

Ultimately, Shifting Gears benefits these professionals by helping them find work in today’s economy as well as small businesses who need experienced talent.”

Shifting Gears includes three distinct phases of class-based and real-world experience to help executive talent transform their career by bringing management and business skills from large enterprise experience to smaller businesses:

Knowledge and Skill Assembly focuses on career transitions into small businesses with in-class sessions and workshops on small business foundations.

Test Trials with a 3-day intensive practice simulation that is followed by a two-week pro bono practicum project with a small business.

Launch Point Readiness with special networking opportunities, practice interviews and career advice from a mentor that has extensive contacts with innovative, growing companies.
