TROY – Automation Alley announced Tuesday that is has signed its 900th members, Auto-Craft Tool and Die in Algonac.

“The 900 member-company mark is a remarkable accomplishment for Automation Alley,” said Ken Rogers, executive director. “The extraordinary growth of Automation Alley over the past nine years reinforces Automation Alley’s status as Michigan’s largest technology business association. We expect the pace of our membership growth to accelerate from here, with the goal of reaching 1,000 members by the end of this year.”

Located in Algonac, Auto-Craft Tool and Die has been designing and building tooling for the automotive and other related industries for the past 50 years. Started in 1958, the company has supplied a variety of fixtures, including dyes and tooling that assisted companies in improving their efficiency, reducing the strain on their operators and providing an improved bottom line.

“The relationships we formed from Automation Alley’s India trade mission last year, in addition to the relationships we hope to make as new members, will allow Auto Craft Tool and Die to continue its success in Southeast Michigan,” said David DuVernay, vice president, Auto Craft Tool and Die. “We’re excited to join such a dynamic organization that offers access to seminars, networking events and business support tools.”
