TROY – The Michigan Homeland Security Consortium views the new “Red Flag” legislation and the national rise in identity theft as a critical risk and opportunity for business. Therefore, as part of a statewide initiative to help Michigan businesses prepare for these complex and unique challenges, experts from Identity Theft Loss Prevention, LLC will address compliance, prevention, and how your company can increase revenue on Aug. 17 at Automation Alley.

Presenters for the afternoon program include:

Tom Glanville, CITRMS

Glanville served in the US Air Force during Desert Storm and received special recognition and a medal for his heroic efforts. After, he worked as a Government contractor on highly-sophisticated security systems for Classified and Top Secret information after leaving the military.

A victim of Identity theft, he began Identity Theft Loss Prevention to help educate families and businesses in 1998. Today the company is an industry leader consulting associations, chambers, businesses, schools, agencies, and organizations on methods to detect, prevent, and mitigate loss due to identity theft.

Frank R. Mitchell, CITRMS

Mitchell�??s background is in financial planning, business consulting, and developing successful businesses for twelve years. The first financial firm he started was Fifth Street Financial Services in 1996. It later became Mitchell Asset Strategies serving the needs of businesses and individuals in Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Arizona, and California.

He plays a critical role in the research and development of Identity Theft Loss Prevention�??s products and services and has written articles for Impact Magazine, the Better Business Bureau, and other publications. He was featured in the National Register�??s, �??Who�??s Who in Executives and Businesses, 2000 Edition.�?�
