TROY – Automation Alley is strengthening its focus on workforce development initiatives by promoting Alysia Green to the new role of workforce development supervisor.
Green is currently working on a variety of programs and initiatives aimed at developing, attracting, and retaining a technical skilled workforce in Southeast Michigan. Specifically, Green will focus her efforts on:
Working with Lawrence Technological University, U.S. Army TARDEC, Raytheon and General Dynamics Lands Systems to offer an accelerated graduate certificate program for engineers transitioning into the defense industry.
Assisting Southeast Michigan companies that are moving to the region with their hiring needs.
Collaborating with Michigan Works! to design customized training/certificate programs in industries that are experiencing hiring needs, but are having difficulties locating qualified candidates.
Creating a toolkit of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) educational programs designed to strengthen and grow Southeast Michigan�??s future knowledge-based workforce.
