TROY – Automation Alley will sponsor the Advanced Manufacturing Award at this year’s Great Lakes Entrepreneur’s Quest Entrepreneur Connect event June 18 at the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development in Lansing.

This GLEQ event brings together entrepreneurs, investors, educators, mentors and support professionals to celebrate the growth and success of Michigan?s entrepreneur ecosystem.

?This event not only celebrates and awards the entrepreneurs making great strides to achieve their goals, but it also provides an excellent opportunity for others to make important connections and gain exposure to investors while discovering key resources for success,? Automation Alley Senior Director and GLEQ board member Tom Anderson said.

A number of breakout sessions will be held throughout the day, including the BOOST pitch competition from 1 to 2:45 p.m., Technology Commercialization from 1:30 to 4:50 p.m. and Obtaining Capital from 3:15 to 5 p.m.

The awards ceremony will be held from 6 to 8:15 p.m. More than $300,000 in awards will be announced, six GLEQ Emerging Companies will pitch to compete for the $25,000 top Emerging Company award. A cash bar will be available during the awards ceremony, with networking to follow.
