TROY – Automation Alley announced it is sponsoring Techonomy Detroit on Sept. 17 ? an all-day public conference held on the campus of Wayne State University that focuses on technology’s role in economic growth, job creation and Detroit’s urban revival.
National and local leaders will come together to discuss ways to improve America?s urban educational system by creating a learning environment that embraces technology and cultivates job creation. In addition, Techonomy will explore how Detroit can diversify its economy, become a city of collaboration and, as technology rapidly transforms, creatively apply new innovations to help revive its infrastructure and spur economic growth.

Confirmed speakers include Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, Quicken Loans Chairman Dan Gilbert, Twitter Chairman and Square CEO Jack Dorsey, Detroit Venture Partners CEO and Managing Partner Josh Linkner, Etsy CEO Chad Dickerson and Venture for America CEO Andrew Yang, among several others.
In addition to Automation Alley, Techonomy Detroit partners include the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), Quicken Loans, Ford Motor Co., Michigan Media Solutions, McKinsey & Company, Cisco Systems Inc. and Skidmore Studio.
The cost to attend is $100 through July 31 and $125 from Aug. 1 to Sept. 17.
