TROY – This Saturday, Automation Alley will be traveling with a delegation of Southeast Michigan business, government and education leaders to Brazil for its upcoming trade mission to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Six companies from across the region will be in attendance, including:

3-Dimensional Services Group (Rochester Hills): provides rapid prototyping services that encompass virtually all processes, including injection molding and casting, stamping, machining, robotic and manual welding.

Applied Manufacturing Technologies, Inc. (Orion Township): is North America�??s largest independent automation engineering company that supports robot companies, systems integrators, line builders and users of robotic automation.

Clean Emission Fluids, Inc. (Grosse Pointe): manufacturers mobile and turn-key fuel and fluid storage and dispensing systems for biofuels and new clean diesel solutions with variable-ratio and on-demand blending capabilities. The company also resells and distributes biofuels from numerous sources and clean diesel fluids such urea-based diesel exhaust fluid for truck fleet centers and travel centers/truck stops.

Detroit Stoker Company (Monroe): is a leading supplier of stokers and related combustion equipment for the production of steam used in heating, industrial processing, and electric power generation around the world.

Metalworking Lubricants (Pontiac): manufactures and markets a complete line of cutting oils, ferrous and non-ferrous compounds, hydraulic, way, and gear oils, greases, and other products. Company�??s certification spans the design and manufacture of lubricants, cleaners, quenching fluids and rust inhibitors.

Promess, Inc. (Brighton): provides manufacturers worldwide with complete force, position, torque, optic, fluid, and air sensing/testing systems for in-production monitoring applications. Promess also supplies state-of-the-art turnkey sensing and test systems and offers pre-service, sensors, preamplifiers, microprocessors, software, electronics, enclosures, cabling, installation, and training services.

In addition, representatives from Macomb County, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Oakland County, Oakland Schools, and Oakland University will be in attendance.

While in Brazil, the delegation will use the U.S. Department of Commerce�??s Gold Key Service, which provides pre-screened, pre-qualified meetings based on a company�??s goals and objectives.

Past trade missions have resulted in the creation of more than 200 jobs while generating $130 million in export sales, investment, and economic development for Southeast Michigan. In addition, Automation Alley was recently awarded the Presidential �??E�?� Award for Exporting, the highest honor the federal government can give to an American exporting company or organization.

Trade missions planned for 2009 include Russia in May and India in the fall.
