TROY – Join Automation Alley on Jan. 7 for an exclusive event regarding the release of Automation Alley?s latest Technology Industry Report, with guest speaker Patrick Anderson, principal and CEO of Anderson Economic Group.
The event will feature an overview of the report by Anderson. The study provides hard data regarding Southeast Michigan?s strong technology base with above average wages, high-skilled and high-knowledge jobs, and groundbreaking discoveries.
With 312,412 technology employees and 8,150 technology establishments, the report shows that Southeast Michigan has tremendous strength and the technological vitality. It also cites rising research and development expenditures as key to the growth of Southeast Michigan?s economy and concludes that despite recent declines in the automotive sector, the Automation Alley region is economically diverse enough to stand on its own.
The report also takes a closer look at the region?s defense and homeland security industry.
