NOVI ? Thousands of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors packed the Suburban Showcase this week for the Battery Show, which this year added the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo.

The show, which began life four years ago in California, was moved to Michigan because of the state?s strong engineering community, said Marketing Manager Blanca Balaguer.

?Seventy-six percent of our attendees are from Michigan,? she said. ?We added the electric and hybrid expo this year to provide information for the electric vehicle supply chain as well as for design and manufacturers.?

The event also featured conference sessions, free seminars as well as paid workshops.

?We keep growing,? Balaguer said. ?We?re still in our infancy. We hope to grow the event to 450 exhibitors next year.?
