GROSSE POINT ? Several dozen angel investors from Michigan and Ontario gathered in June at the residence of Roy Norton, the Canadian consul general in Detroit, to listen to pitches from four startups and to explore how they could work together to promote the region. The event was co-hosted by Great Lakes Angels.
Consul General Norton gave a short talk about his duties and how he hopes to connect more Michigan companies and investors with their Canadian counterparts. A buffet dinner was then offered, along with a selection of Canadian beers and wines, in the home?s plush garden.
Before dinner, pitches were presented from four companies, two Canadian and two American. Those companies were:
Blaze Medical Devices LLC
Branam Oral Health Technologies
Luvali
MyWclub
