BATTLE CREEK ? Great Lakes Entrepreneur’s Quest is joining Western Michigan Economic Development organizations, entrepreneurs, investors, consultants, coaches and mentors on April 10 at the McCamly Plaza Hotel to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit in Michigan.
Keynote speaker, Keith Brophy, will kick off the evening. Brophy, a former Ernst & Young West Michigan Entrepreneur of the Year, is General Manager of the Enterprise Integration Solutions group of RCM Technologies. ?
Until last week, Brophy was President of Services and co-owner of software provider NuSoft Solutions. That company was just sold to RCM. Before that, he was founder of Sagestone Consulting, which he sold to NuSoft.
He describes himself as a ?transformational technologist, author of well-timed, yet quickly obsolete books sold across the word at the dawn of the Internet boom, and accidental pioneer of the two-cell-phone productivity techniques.?
Following Brophy?s address, area entrepreneurs participating in the FastTrac TechVenture program will pitch their business plans to an investor panel with Jack Ahrens, TGap Ventures; Jerry Scott, Grand Angels; and Skip Simms, SPARK and Michigan Pre-Seed Fund.
FastTrac is an intensive six-week entrepreneurial training program developed by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. GLEQ and MI-SBTDC, together with business development organizations around the state, host this program in Michigan. This nationally recognized and respected tech venture curriculum was presented for the first time in western Michigan in March. Participants in the program are starting companies in a broad range of technology fields and life sciences.
Join the FastTrac sponsoring organizations, facilitators, coaches, speakers, investors and guests in celebrating the achievements of our FastTrac participants on Thursday, April 10, 5 ? 8 p.m. at the McCamly Plaza Hotel, Battle Creek, Michigan.
