GRAND RAPIDS – Charitable giving should become a required cost from which you can expect a measurable value in return a panel of experts will argue April 28 at the next Fourth Friday breakfast networking event hosted by The Right Place program’s Technology Council.

Speakers Al Adyniec of Performance Edge, Ken Soper of Soper Taber Group and Joel Grumm of The Grumm Company will make the point that small businesses, particuarly in West Michigan, can and should be actively engaged in non profits and social service agencies.

The presenters suggest you treat ?charitable giving? as a required cost of doing business from which you can expect measurable value in return, and that your model must include:

Planned and intentional research on, targeting of, and commitment to an affinity cause, group, or organization.

A broad organizational framework for you/your firm which documents not only your levels of involvement but your own organization?s expectations and ROI.

A tactical plan which assigns both responsibilities and accountabilities internally ? not only for ?production and delivery? but also feedback and evaluation.

This approach will help you leverage your involvement by improving your own management skills, facilitating a culture of innovation, and creating both employee and client commitment in the ?new? work place.

The April 28 event is scheduled for CPR in Grand Rapids, near the Watermark Country Club off Cascade Road. The program starts at 7:30 a.m.
