TROY – Automation Alley is now accepting applicants to its 2010 Mentor & Coaching Program in partnership with the Midwest Technology Leaders.

Administered by Business and Executive Coach Barry Demp of Barry Demp Coaching, the program pairs today’s top IT leaders with the Midwest’s best CIOs. The mentor and mentee pairs meet one hour per month for a year, supplemented by quarterly best practices meetings (for mentors) and biannual workshops (for mentees).

The Mentor & Coaching Program is an exclusive benefit to Automation Alley members only. Mentee participants have reported being promoted, receiving scholarships and increasing their network as a few of the benefits they??ve received from being part of the program.

First-round application materials include a resume, cover letter and two letters of recommendation; second-round materials include self-evaluation tools such as the Personal Excellence Coaching Assessment. All materials must be received no later than Monday, December 14.

There is a $100 program fee for mentees. Mentors must be a CIO or director of IT at a company in Michigan, and can apply through the Midwest Technology Leaders organization.

Past mentors include Ruthanne Largent of MGM Grand in Detroit, Phil Bertolini of Oakland County and Paul Peabody of Beaumont Hospitals.
