DEWITT – The Corn Marketing Program of Michigan and AHL-TECH, the creators of an alternative-fuel hybrid locomotive, will be attending the Clean Transportation Expo and Awards Gala September 24 at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi. Presenters of some of the most cutting-edge transportation innovations will be available to answer questions about their projects and the future of their technology.
This event will feature AHL-TECH president and CEO Tom Mack. AHL-TECH introduced the first ethanol/hybrid locomotive and has changed the face of the locomotive by combining hybrid and renewable fuel technology that promises to reduce diesel emissions and greenhouse gases. The locomotive will help to reduce the United States dependence on foreign oil and reduce harmful greenhouse emissions by using ethanol, a cleaner-burning, environmentally-friendly fuel. The CMPM has joined forces with AHL-TECH to create a non-traditional use for ethanol and explore new uses for the fuel.
