ANN ARBOR – Bank of Ann Arbor is pleased to announce the promotion of Michael Cole to Group President, Technology Industry Group.
Cole’s promotion recognizes his contribution at Bank of Ann Arbor and within our region’s technology and life science business community. He has extended the bank’s products and services to help local investors, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and seasoned technology sector businesses. Most recently, Bank of Ann Arbor became the region’s only local provider of venture debt and venture capital call lines of credit.
“Michael??s first assignment with Bank of Ann Arbor was to develop and implement a business plan to establish the bank as a value add business partner for emerging technology companies and their principals,” said Tim Marshall, President & CEO. “Michael’s intrapreneurial ability to transform his tech banking expertise into value for Bank of Ann Arbor has uniquely positioned us to play an important role in the revitalization of Michigan’s economy. We look forward to the challenge and opportunity to grow this line of business.”
The Technology Industry Group’s portfolio has grown to represent a significant portion of the bank’s assets. In the last year, Mark Holtz, Assistant Vice President, joined the team to expand Bank of Ann Arbor’s commitment to Michigan??s new economy which Cole initiated over six years ago.
