GRAND RAPIDS – Davenport University is hosting the Business Professionals of America’s State Competition for Michigan college students Feb. 9. More than 200 students from colleges and universities across the state will be on Davenport’s W.A. Lettinga Campus competing in more than 50 different business and technology competitive events.

?Business Professionals of America is a great opportunity for students preparing for careers in business management, information technology and other business-related fields,? said Deb Kiss, Advisor for Davenport?s BPA Chapter. ?We are thrilled to host this event and see the many young professionals preparing for successful careers.?

Events include individual and team competitions in Accounting, Business Skills, Technology, Public Speaking and Presentation Skills. Top qualifiers from this state competition will advance to the BPA National Competition to be held in May in Orlando, Florida.
