TROY ? Applications are being accepted by Walsh College through Aug. 14
for a single Adams Entrepreneur Fellowship that will begin this fall and match the winning entrepreneur with CEO mentors.
Walsh College said it received a generous grant from The Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan through the Ann and Carman Adams Fund for ?The Walsh College Adams Entrepreneurial Fellowship? to develop the entrepreneurial skills of promising business students and alumni.
The Adams Entrepreneur Fellowship is a one year, full-time paid employment commitment that offers the following benefits;
Opportunity to create a new business venture
Work with a successful local entrepreneur
Earn up to 12 credits toward a master?s degree or certificate
Receive guidance from the faculty advisor
Opportunity to attend an entrepreneur boot camp or an executive leadership training academy
Academic Credit
The Adams Entrepreneur Fellowship allows for 12 graduate level credits ? six as directed study and two courses (six credits) approved by the faculty advisor. Fellows and mentors work closely with a Walsh College faculty advisor who assists in developing the fellow?s project plan, monitoring progress, troubleshooting, and providing ongoing counsel and support.
The grant allows Fellows to enroll in:
two three-credit directed study classes and
two three-credit academic classes determined with the faculty advisor
all will apply toward a Walsh College master?s degree or certificate.
Eligibility
Current student or graduate of a Walsh College degree program
Three or more years full-time work experience
Ability to work full time for one year in southeast Michigan
Prospective students are eligible, contingent upon admission to a degree or certificate program.

Serious commitment to an entrepreneurial career
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Business savvy
Initiative; demonstrated self-starter
Innovative thinker and practitioner
Able and willing to commit to all Fellowship requirements for the full term
Additional employment requirements may be requested by the host mentor company (e.g., background research, reference checks, etc.)

Completed official application, available online, by August 14, 10 p.m.
Responses to essay questions
Three letters of recommendation, including one from Walsh College faculty, if possible
Unofficial transcripts from Walsh College
$50 non-refundable application fee
Previously submitted applications are eligible for three years. Prior applicants may provide updated information at any time.
