LANSING – Jayson Pankin, New Venture Creation Specialist, Delphi Corporation, has been recognized by the Small Business Foundation of Michigan as an Intrapreneur Extraordinaire. Pankin was recently awarded his third Adams Entrepreneurial Fellow from Wayne State University’s MBA program.
The recognition celebrates and honors institutions, individuals and events that apply the principles of entrepreneurship that help to foster a robust entrepreneurial culture and economy in Michigan.
The Entrepreneur Extraordinaire recognition is made in three categories: (a) Intrapreneur Extraordinaire (an individual that demonstrates exceptional merit in the assumption of risks for an enterprise that transforms ideas into new value for their host-company employer); (b) Social Entrepreneur Extraordinaire (an individual that demonstrates exceptional merit in the assumption of risks for an enterprise that transforms ideas into new positive social change); and (c) Small Business Entrepreneur Extraordinaire (an individual that demonstrates exceptional merit in the assumption of risks for an enterprise that transforms ideas into new value within the context of a small business enterprise). This distinction is critically important for Michigan because all three types of entrepreneurs must be prevalent in a society in order for small business entrepreneurship to flourish.
??Intrapreneurship is particularly important for Michigan businesses seeking to prosper in the highly competitive global economy, and within this context, one of the most impressive intrapreneurs in Michigan today is Jayson D.
