LANSING – The Public Service Commission’s approval of a settlement agreement regarding Detroit Edison’s 2010 uncollectible expense true-up mechanism will result in a $7 million credit to customers.
The Public Service Commission approved the settlement Thursday (Case No. U-16574), meaning an average residential customer will see a one-time credit of $1.24 on September’s bill.
ALPENA SURCHARGE REDUCTION: The commission also approved a settlement with Alpena Power Company on its revised renewable energy plan. The monthly surcharge will drop from $3 to 24 cents beginning January 1 (Case No. U-16580)
XOOM ENERGY GRANTED LICENSE: Xoom Energy Michigan, L.L.C, was granted a license as an alternative gas supplier (Case No. U-16802). It established an office Sterling Heights.
