DETROIT – The Internet Advisor radio show on Aug. 8 launched

a new website look-and-feel that producer and co-host Foster Braun says stepped

his show forward into the 21stCentury with a double whammy.

During the taping of its weekly podcast and live broadcast

on WJR-AM Detroit, the longest running locally produced computer show in

Detroit radio, Internet Advisor launched its new webpage and climbed aboard a

rocket ship Braun hopes will propel the Internet Advisor well beyond the limits

and reach of broadcast radio. On August

10, the Internet Advisor become part of the new PodcastDetroit Network in

Detroit produced by ITintheD.Com’s Bob Waltenspiel and David Phillips. ITInTheD.Com announced this week that after 103 episodes, its show podcasts have been

listened to more than 10 million times.

The new Internet Advisor homepage was designed by the Visual

Compass web design of Ypsilanti. Owner Vince Chmielewski and his staff joined

the Internet Advisor crew to describe the process and purpose of the new design

which now includes visual elements. A

video created by Emmy award winning director Eddie Fritz shows the behind the

scenes work that goes into an Internet Advisor broadcast. Besides the standard

elements of show notes, the new site will also host a long sought for Forum and

links to co-sponsored weekly news source MITechNews.Com.

The face of broadcasting is changing and podcasting has

become the new medium of mass communication. Each week full episodes of The Internet Advisor will be posted on PodcastDetroit.Com

along with a growing collection of locally produced and national podcasts. Soon

MITechCast, a show that will be co-hosted by MITechNews.Com Editor Mike Brennan

and Engineering Society of Detroit’s Matt Roush, will go live on

PodcastDetroit, and be available on-demand as a podcast. Roush formerly edited

the Great Lakes Technology Report for WWJ Newsradio in Detroit and now edits Technology

Century for ESD.
