DETROIT – DTE Energy in partnership with The Engineering Society of Detroit and NextEnergy have selected two Farmington Hills-based companies as finalists in this year?s DTE E-Challenge Competition.

Lumecon and Illuminating Concepts will demonstrate their innovations at the Detroit Zoo and the City of Royal Oak respectively. The winner will be announced during the DTE/ESD Energy Conference on May 6.

The DTE E-Challenge competition is designed to showcase energy efficiency innovation through market-ready products. This year?s competition focused on advanced lighting.

Representatives from both companies will attend a special ESD event on April 22 at ESD?s headquarters to discuss their innovations and their demonstration projects.
