ANN ARBOR ? Former Michigan Film Office Director Carrie Jones is now the Executive Director of the Michigan Venture Capital Association.
?Carrie?s experience and energy are tremendous assets for MVCA and her leadership will take the organization to the next level,? said MVCA President Tim Petersen. ?It?s important that the state?s venture community have the strong, clear voice Carrie will provide as we work to engage business and government leaders in our mission. MVCA?s members are committed to fostering and supporting the growth and success of Michigan?s emerging companies.?
In her previous position, Jones worked closely with state legislators and industry professionals to lead the implementation of Michigan?s new grant-based film incentive program.

Jones said. ?It is always a thrill to work with people who are committed to Michigan and I look forward to helping MVCA make Michigan a nationally recognized venture capital location. Jones earned her bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Furman University.
