GRAND RAPIDS – The Geek Group has created a new program called Destructive Innovation Tuesday that is for anyone who has an idea for a new project, product, or experiment.
Participants will have the opportunity to review their idea with a revolving panel of manufacturing and science experts who will assist with dissecting the idea and offer suggestions on producing it, improving it, and answer questions about the manufacturing process.
?There are a lot of resources available for entrepreneurs and small business owners who have a viable product and need advice on marketing and funding but there is a lack of resources available to those who need in-depth, expert advice on product design and manufacturing? said Josh Spencer, Director of Development for the Geek Group. ?We tested the Destructive Innovation Tuesday format on one entrepreneur and it went better than expected. Now we will be offering this service every week.?
The program will run every Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Geek Group?s Leonard Street Labs facility located at 902 Leonard St NW, Grand Rapids. The program will be free for members of the Geek Group and $10 for non-members. Since space is limited, participants are required to register by contacting Josh Spencer by email at [email protected].
