TROY – Automation Alley, in an effort to assist its members with networking and creating business relationships, has created a new member benefit – its own LinkedIn user group.

LinkedIn, a social networking tool, can be used to discover inside connections for business opportunities, re-connect with past and present colleagues, and get answers from experts in the network.

All members are eligible to join.

In addition, Automation Alley’s Membership Services Committee will host “Getting LinkedIn: Creating Business Connections” on Thursday, September 4 at Automation Alley’s Headquarters. Attendees will learn how to market themselves and their businesses using the online tool, and how LinkedIn can be a gateway to additional business and an expanded network.

Presenters include Terry Bean of Networked Inc., Dave Biskner of Biznet Internet Solutions, and Beverly Cornell of Iterotext Translation Services.

The event runs from 8 – 10 a.m.; the cost to attend is $10 for members and $20 for non-members. To register, AutomationAlley.Com
