ANN ARBOR ? If you want to compete in Great Lakes Entrepreneurs Quest’s fall competition, you have until Oct. 15 to register. But you don’t have to submit the executive summary of your business plan until December.

?We have more educational programs for participants,? said Executive Director Diane Durance. ?We feature the Ask The Expert panel, another on Crowd Funding, and three programs on strategy.?

The elevator pitch part of the competition, once again, will be held at the Annual Collaboration for Entrepreneurship (ACE). But for the first time in a decade, ACE will leave Ann Arbor and be held at the much bigger Burton Manor in Livonia. ACE had shifted to Ann Arbor?s Skyline High School several years ago, but outgrew that venue.

Business Planning ? An Introduction to Four Models (Ypsilanti). This exclusive workshop (for GLEQ participants only) will introduce four business planning models: – Jim Horan’s “One Page Business Plan” – Kaufman Foundation’s “NewVenture Program” – “The Business Model Canvas” – Gino Wickman’s “Entrepreneur Operating System” Participants will hear 20 minute orientations to the models and will have an opportunity to ask presenters questions about the models, tools and processes.
