ANN ARBOR ? The Great Lakes Entrepreneur’s Quest and Ann Arbor SPARK will host a seminar April 13 that will prepare participants for SPARK’s Entrepreneurial Boo Camp on May 8.
The seminar is one of six in the series leading up to GLEQ?s business plan competition registration date, April 21, and the application date for SPARK’s Entrepreneur Boot Camp submission deadline of May 8.
This seminar will help attendees understand the business model and how to construct financial projections. The discussion will address why business models are important and what components are essential for the classic business models.
Skip Simms, Executive Director at Ann Arbor SPARK and creator of the Ralph Wilson Equity Fund will provide examples of successful company business models. Attendees will learn about developing a financial project ? bottom up and top down. Key elements of the financial model that investors review will be discussed. Questions can be emailed in advance or brought with you to the event.Simms is a founding director on the board of the Michigan Venture Capital Association and is currently the executive director of Ann Arbor SPARK?s Business Accelerator.
