ANN ARBOR ? The Great Lakes Entrepreneur’s Quest will sponsor seven additional entrepreneurial training sessions before its June business plan competition awards ceremony, giving GLEQ 14 networking events during its spring cycle.
All sessions are open and free to the public as part of GLEQ’s Business Commercialization program for entrepreneurs. The new events are a result of the alliance between GLEQ and Automation Alley, Ann Arbor SPARK and Kalamazoo?s Southwest Michigan First.
The new events include:
1. Thursday, April 13 (6:00-8:00 pm) ? Business Model / Financial Structure Training Session presented by Ron Reed of Endurance Ventures
2. Thursday, April 20 (6:00-8:00 pm) – Community R&D: ‘Market Research’ for new markets and new-to-world products presented by Steve Schwartz of InovoTech
3. Thursday, April 27 (6:00-8:00 pm) ? Sources of Capital and the Investor Perspective presented by Rajesh Kothari of Seneca Partners
4. Thursday, May 4 (6:00-8:00 pm) ? High Impact marketing for Start-ups presented by Jim Price of CompanyCrafters
5. Tuesday, May 9 (6:00-8:00 pm) ? Technology Transfer: Perspectives from Inside and Outside the Process presented by a representative from the Office of Technology Transfer at the University of Michigan and an entrepreneur who successfully commercialized technology developed at the University of Michigan.
6. Thursday, May 18, (6:00-8:00 pm) ? ?Pitch Your Plan? at M-Tech in Kalamazoo. Jack Ahrens of TGap Ventures will moderate the judging panel.
7. Tuesday, May 23, (6:00-8:00 pm) ? Entrepreneur?s Roundtable featuring Jen Baird, Accuri, and Todd Smith, Clear!Blue
Tuesday, June 7 (6:00-8:00 pm) ? GLEQ Final Awards Ceremony for 2005/2006.
