GRAND RAPIDS – The Teen Entrepreneur Summer Academy is a hands-on, interactive camp for West Michigan high school students to learn how to launch a business.
Academy participants will be exposed to the importance of networking (with students and professionals), target market research and idea generation during the business development process. The curriculum is based on the Career Pathways Program and National Entrepreneurship Education Standards.
A combination of brainstorming activities, teambuilding lessons and a field trip to an entrepreneurial center will supplement each student?s creative problem solving task. The final day concludes with a judged business pitch by each team. $1,000 in cash prizes will be awarded.
