BIRMINGHAM ? IT security expert and author Richard Stiennon has launched IT-Harvest Press, a new publishing group that will recruit subject matter experts with proven writing skills to nurture through the book writing process.

The very first book in IT-Harvest?s catalog is ?UP and to the RIGHT: Strategy and Tactics of Analyst Influence.,? a book written by Stiennon to address the anxiety he witnessed at technology vendors as they struggle with their Gartner Group relationship.

?The Gartner analysts, as you know, have remarkable power over the success or failure of vendors that sell to large enterprises,? Stiennon said. ?Their primary tool is the Magic Quadrant. My book lays out a plan for getting the most accurate representation of your product or company in the Magic Quadrant. ?

StIennon said Initial response has been tremendous. One VP of Research at Gartner Tweeted that ?UP and to the RIGHT is a must-read for all AR and marketing professionals.? I would add that entrepreneurs, executives, and investors will find my detailed guidance very revealing and essential if their companies are headed UP and to RIGHT. ?

Stiennon said he would serve as technical editor, to make sure content is understandable. He said he would use a team of freelance editors, the same ones he uses on his books. When the publishing house gets a half dozen or so books in the catalogue, full-time editors will be brought on staff.

Authors will not be charged for the service. IT-Harvest Press gets paid through a revenue sharing model. The details are still in development.
