AUBURN HILLS ? January 31 is the deadline for woman pursuing technology degrees or certifications at the college level to apply for more than $60,000 in scholarships and laptop computers provided by the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation.
The program covers:
one high school senior scholarship ($20,000)
one undergraduate-level scholarship ($15,000)
one graduate-level student scholarship ($15,000) currently enrolled or who will be enrolled in technology program college/university courses
two MCWT active member scholarships ($5,000 each ) for the 2012/2013 academic year
one graduate or undergraduate research grant ($3,000)
three laptop/printer combination grants
Any student involved in the MCWTF GET-IT program (Girls Exploring Together: Information Technology) is eligible to apply for one new scholarship for high school seniors entering college or taking college-level courses in the fall of 2012.
