KALAMAZOO – MichBio will bring its 2009 Expo to the Radisson Plaza Hotel November 3-4. The MichBio Expo is the largest single gathering of bioscience professionals in the state attracting more than 500 biosciences professionals and service providers, and more than 60 exhibitors last year.

This year’s two-day program offers an opportunity for new and existing business owners in the bioscience industry to learn from the experienced professionals in a variety of different fields.

Attendees will be able to listen to expert panels discuss the latest news, participate in workshops and track sessions, and network face-to-face with other Michigan innovators.

New business owners will find a variety of events featuring tips on important areas for start-ups including R&D and intellectual property.

Existing business owners can listen to experts from larger organizations outside the Michigan start-up community.

The year’s event will feature a keynote address by Dr. Robert Fischell, Chairman and Founder of New Jersey-based Svelte Medical Systems, a clinical-stage medical device company with a novel “stent on a wire” delivery system. The event will feature exhibits by new and innovative companies from across the state of Michigan.
