SOUTHFIELD – Out of 270 entries, The American Society of Association

Executives has recognized The Engineering Society of Detroit’s Technology Century Magazine with the 2007 Gold Circle Award for best publication for an association with a budget less than or equal to $2 million.

Entries were judged on content, effectiveness, writing, design/layout and photography/illustration.

Technology Century magazine is published six times per year as a service to ESD members. Each issue of the magazine features a specific theme and contains articles related to that theme written by professionals in the science and engineering fields. The magazine is also a portal for noteworthy ESD events, member achievements and milestones, and member profiles.

?The ESD membership is congruent with industry and business in Detroit and Michigan, and Technology Century draws on this enormous expertise to educate its members, engineers and scientists on topics of general, but timely interest,? said Dr. Ralph H. Kummler, FESD, chairperson of ESD?s Publications Committee and Dean of Engineering at Wayne State University. ?It is an important

component of the communication between ESD members, and provides a connection to the K-12 and Michigan’s universities for the engineering profession. The Technology Century Publications Committee is proud to display the achievements of the ESD members and partners in each issue.?
