ANN ARBOR ? Llamasoft has expanded operations in the Asia-Pacific region, establishing LLamasoft Asia as a new business venture based in Tokyo, where a team of more than a dozen industry veterans will be on staff.

?We are excited about the latest LLamasoft expansion,? said LLamasoft Executive Vice President Toby Brzoznowski. ?Our rapid global growth is an indicator of the demand for supply chain design solutions by organizations worldwide and Japan?s resurgent market is currently seeking the technology and expertise that LLamasoft uniquely offers.?

The office will be managed by Misao Sasaki, CEO for LLamasoft Asia.

?As Japan?s economy continues its growth and recovery, companies are looking to keep pace by creating an in-house capability to continuously redesign their supply chain operations,? Sasaki said.

LLamasoft Asia has already established a noteworthy new customer, announcing that Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Ltd., one of Japan?s top heavy machinery manufacturers, has recently selected Supply Chain Guru as the supply chain modeling solution for its Steam Turbine Products Headquarters.

Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, LLamasoft has offices in the United Kingdom, France, Colombia, South Africa, Australia, Brazil, Mexico and China, providing supply chain design software and solutions to some of the largest and most recognizable companies worldwide.
