STERLING HEIGHTS – The Macomb-OU INCubator was recently awarded $27,000 in Business Accelerator Funds to provide accelerator services to client company 401K GPS.
“Our experience with Mac-OU INC has been stellar, particularly the coaching and support of Mike Brennan. He has provided clarity and creativity as we redefine and grow our business, and he shepherded us through the BAF process efficiently and effectively. We’re pleased with our Mac-OU INC partnership, and look forward to next steps in accelerating the growth of 401K GPS?,” said John Eaton, 401K GPS General Manager.
401K GPS delivers dynamic, tactical asset-allocation strategies to participants of employer-sponsored retirement plans, in collaboration with investment advisors. The platform utilizes its proprietary Protactical recommendation methodology to develop customized allocation strategies for participants based on their personal risk profile, years to retirement and available employer retirement-plan fund options.
401K GPS is currently engaging with customers, partners and resellers across the retirement planning and advisory services ecosystem as it pursues and accomplishes its revenue growth strategies and milestones. This BAF award will allow 401K GPS to refine its integrated marketing strategy, field a research project to support ongoing product development, and formalize licensing agreements to better define its IP, technology development and partnerships.
These BAF awards are distributed by the Michigan Small Business Development Center (MI-SBDC) through the Macomb-OU INCubator to the various accelerator service providers. As these awards demonstrate, the Macomb-OU INCubator is successfully delivering specialized business acceleration services to companies commercializing advanced technology. The BAF is a 21st Century Jobs Fund Program managed by the MI-SBDC in partnership with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Michigan’s network of business accelerators.
