SOUTHFIELD – At the April Michigan Council of Women in Technology ConnectNet Forum, attendees will learn about how cloud computing and virtualization can make an impact both personally and professionally.

Led by 20-year IT veteran James Stephens at GM OnStar, this informative overview is designed to clarify the differences and overlap of these technologies. Stephens will discuss private versus public cloud, types of cloud services offered (e.g., Platform as a Service), infrastructure benefits, challenges of virtualization, and the overall impact these technologies play within computing.
