LANSING – The Michigan Strategic Fund and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation has issued a Request for Proposals to publish the official state of Michigan travel guide.

?This publication complements our overall marketing campaign and extends our reach in critical out-of-state markets to increase the volume of travelers to Michigan,? said David West, Vice President of Travel Michigan, part of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

The RFP seeks a full-service, integrated marketing partner and publisher with extensive knowledge of Michigan tourism efforts to handle copy writing and content development, sales, production and proactive distribution of the official state travel guide. Major tasks companies must be able to fulfill include:

? Publishing a four-color official state travel guide, a four-color fall travel guide and a four-color winter travel guide to showcase Michigan as a desirable travel destination.

? Creating original, unique content for all editorial pages, as well as all fact checking and proofing of content.

? Providing all new photography with full rights to Travel Michigan.

? Producing a rich media version of the publication that is compatible with major mobile devices.

? Soliciting paid advertising to help defray the cost of the publication.

? Demonstrating its ability to match Travel Michigan?s target market demographics and distribute by mail the publication to a minimum of 650,000 households in Travel Michigan?s target markets.

In order to be considered, applicants must submit a technical proposal, price proposal, signed independent price determination certificate, and conflict of interest disclosure.

Electronic versions of each technical and price proposal must be sent separately to the MSF via email to [email protected] by Friday, May 1, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Proposals will not be accepted via U.S. mail or any other delivery method.

Prospective bidders may submit questions regarding the RFP via email by Monday, March 16 at 3 p.m. to [email protected]. Please note: The MSF will not respond to questions that are not received by the above date and time. In addition, questions that are phoned, faxed or sent through regular mail will not be accepted.

Responses to all qualifying questions will be posted to MichiganBusiness.Org by Monday, March 23 at 5 p.m.
