PONTIAC – Oakland County has finally rolled out a new Web site to feature its Medical Main Street program, which includes a daily news feed to hype Southeast Michigan’s life sciences industry.
MedicalMainStreet.Org also includes a LinkedIn profile page for ?those interested in finding partners in Michigan’s life science industry,? via the popular online professional networking tool.
?On the Web site we have listings of active clinical trials, company lists, university research centers, hospital specializations and much more information that highlights all the resources we already have in the Medical Main Street region,? Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said in a statement.
Rochester Hills-based advertising and marketing firm Daniel Brian & Associates was hired to coordinate portions of the branding campaign.
Medical Main Street has been in the works as a regional branding campaign for the local life science and medical industries for more than a year.
Health industry professions accounted for 93,584 jobs, or 12.8 percent, of all private-sector wage and salary employment in Oakland for 2006.
A report by Anderson Economic Group projected last year that the county could add up to 45,000 jobs by 2018 with a campaign.
