ROCHESTER ? MI Earth Day Fest will take place April 24-26 at the Rochester City Center and Municipal Park with upwards of 50,000 people coming to see the latest green products and services.

Honoring the 45th anniversary of Earth Day, the Fest is one of the planet’s largest and liveliest Earth Day celebrations. The festival offers a wide variety of exhibits, attractions and activities.

Whole Foods is sponsoring a Kids Corner with rock wall climb, a straw bale maze, arts & crafts, and other fun activities.

?We?re rentoing 150 booths,? said Jeff Chynoweth, Director of Development. Green Team.?

Major sponsors include Whole Foods, Fox2 News, WNIC, WWJ.

New wrinkles this year include a 5 kilometer race through the city sponsored by Ra Ra, Rohester Area Recreational Authority. On Thursday the race was sanctioned by Pure Michigan.

Chynoweth said the Fest will have evening entertainment on the main stage with live music, and food provided by local merchants.

Also new this year will be a third stage just for speakers and educational programs. Details are getting coordinated by Cliff Schold, the education and outreach manager.

As in years past, admission and programs are free, thanks to these generous sponsors.
