GRAND RAPIDS – The 2006 MichBio Expo will be held this October at Grand Rapid’s state-of-the-art conference center, DeVos Place, in downtown Grand Rapids, in the heart of the city’s life sciences and health-care focused Smart Zone.
The dates will be Oct. 10-12. The first day features a Student Life Science Career Day, at Grand Valley State University, designed to encourage Michigan’s top seniors and early college students to pursue a science career in the state.
On the second day, while exhibitors set up booths, there will be mini symposiums and tours to local life science facilities. The expo’s grand opening reception will crown the evening.
On the third day professionals from across the state and neighboring states will gather for the MichBio Expo and Conference.
The Expo in 2005 was only two days and was split between Wayne State University and Cobo Center in Detroit.
