SOUTHFIELD – Michigan Survives serves up part three of its Action Refinement workshops June 7 at Lawrence Technological University that cover what does work, does not work, when looking for a new job.
Professional coaches and career search experts will moderate all five functional networking forums, which include:
Kevin Finn ? Interviewing
Lisa Mininni & Therese McShane — 60 Second Commercial
Jim Carlson — HR – The System. How it can work for and against you during the job hunt.
Jill Jordan — Resume writing
Ginny Victory — Letter writing
The event is scheduled for June 7 at the LTU?s Cafeteria in the Buell Management Building. Networking starts at 6 pm and the program at 6:30 pm.
Founder Eudora Adolph said because her group will finalize this series by industry and have small functional breakout workshops on refining the skills requested by the participants, attendees should come prepared to answer the following questios:
What you perceive your strengths and weaknesses to be.
Your 60 second introduction (elevator speech).
What has worked and not worked in your career search.
?If you are a recent survivor, we will have a special breakout session just for you to help you get started,?? Adolph said. ?Please don?t be intimidated if this is your first event. Our events are for all levels of transitioning professionals.?

Business cards, pen, paper, and a positive attitude.
