MIDLAND – MidMichigan Innovation Center has added veteran alternative energy entrepreneur Rodney Boulanger of Midland to the Board of Directors.
“With our new strategic, educational and networking programs such as the Speaker Series, and TED Talk Thursdays, and our just-announced statewide outreach program, the Regional Business Incubation Network, we have added new opportunities for entrepreneursm,” said Bill Moneypenny, MidMichigan Innovation Center CEO. “Rod’s experience will be most valuable. We are glad to add him to the team.”
Boulanger, former Midland Cogeneration Venture CEO and currently a senior consultant for the company, was involved in the creation and senior management of unique energy projects such as MCV, the Great Plains Coal Gasification Venture, and building and operating power plants around the world. He has extensive experience working with partnerships, and service on Boards of Directors, including Primary Energy, Chemical Bank, and other community organizations. His experience in energy systems, strategic planning and development, personnel and finance will add depth and breadth to the MidMichigan Innovation Center board and resources.
“I have lived and worked through the process of creating unique and successful ventures. I’m pleased and honored to be joining the MidMichigan Innovation Center board,” Boulanger said. “They have strong leadership and board involvement, and I am hopeful my experience and networks will add to the Innovation Center?s success.”
