DETROIT ? The Miller Lite Tap the Future Business Competition will pit five local entrepreneurs against each other for a cash purse of $20,000 and the chance to compete in Chicago against other regional winners for the $200,000 grand prize. The deadline is April 10.

Daymond John of ABC?s Shark Tank, pus Brooklyn-based WeDid.It founders Su Sanni and Ben Lamson (who is from Michigan) will be selecting who moves forward.

This is the third year Miller Lite is running the Tap the Future competition. Last year?s winner was Ohio-based TextPride ? now New York City-based Swift Media ? which was acquired for $27 million less than a year after winning the grand prize.
