LANSING – Every penny counts and when they aren’t your pennies, it is even better. The October 15 deadline is quickly approaching for the Michigan Technology Network Fellowship program.

The Lansing-based MITN Chapter (MITN.org) volunteers work hard throughout the year to provide this opportunity to fund continuing education for both students and adults.

MITN is a non-profit that works locally to enhance the development of technology professional through education and networking events. This Fellowship opportunity is part of how this non-profit gives back to the community. At least two Fellowships are awarded each year and many have already benefitted from this program.

Historically, MITN has awarded the Fellowship to many local women in technology and also has used the money to sponsor campers at the Michigan State University Media Summer Camps who would not have been able to fund it themselves.

MITN hopes this opportunity will help grow the technology talent in Lansing and show the commitment of the community to education. The award can be used at local partnering universities, such as Lansing Community College and Michigan State University, towards technology courses. For the developing professional or someone looking to retool their skills, Fellowships can also be used at New Horizons and Career Quest.

Application deadline is Oct. 15. Click here to apply.
