AUBURN HILLS – Minority-owned businesses may prosper from a newly formed partnership between Osiris Innovations Group and the Mosaic Advantage Program ? strengthening a network of minority owned suppliers.
Osiris provides on-demand supply and demand chain automation applications. Mosaic is a division of ASG Renaissance a professional services firm with offices in Farmington Hills.
The program created a network of pre-qualified, well-established and financially stable minority-owned businesses that support a wide range of services in both the United States and Canada.
To qualify as a minority-owned business in the United States, the business must be at least 51 percent owned by individuals who are U.S. citizens of Asian-Indian, Asian Pacific, Black, Hispanic and/or Native American descent.
To qualify as a visible minority-owned business in Canada, the business must be a for-profit company with operations in Canada, employ Canadian citizens of non-Caucasian in race or color or aboriginal persons who are of First Nation Inuit or Mtis descent. Applicants must hold 51 percent of the ownership or hold 51 percent of the company?s shares. Additionally, the management and daily operations of the business must be controlled by visible minorities or Aboriginal peoples.
Additionally, membership has been expanded in both countries to include businesses owned by women, veterans [including service disabled veterans] and those who are disabled.
To provide Mosaic Advantage Program members with the ability to expand their business opportunities, ASG Renaissance partnered with Osiris to assure program members had the technical resources to process and pay for orders electronically. By partnering with Osiris, Mosaic Advantage Program members have access to the Osiris OS Interchange platform ? a platform which automates the entire purchase-to-payment process over the Internet.
?In order to compete in the rapidly changing global marketplace, companies of all sizes and backgrounds must have the ability to offer customers an electronic method of buying, selling and paying for a product or service,? said Osiris CEO David Saroli. ?Because of our expertise and flexibility, we provide members of the Mosaic Advantage Program with the technical resources to facilitate this type of commerce, either as a stand-alone program or one that can integrate with more advanced procurement systems.?
By using the OS Interchange platform, members of the Mosaic Advantage Program electronically link their customers to an automated state-of-the-art supply chain, allowing for business transactions to be handled from start-to-finish electronically and eliminating the need for paper invoices or payment by check.
?We are very pleased to offer the services of Osiris Innovations Group to our Mosaic Advantage Program members,? said Laurie Bradley, president of ASG Renaissance. ?In the past, many minority-owned businesses lacked the technical resources to compete with companies with advanced procurement systems. By offering the flexibility and technological expertise of Osiris Innovations Group, our Mosaic Advantage Program members can electronically link to a wider range of customers and increase their revenue while, at the same time, reduce operating expenses. This is a win-win partnership and puts members of the Mosaic Advantage Program on the right track to effectively manage the rapidly growing global electronic marketplace.?
